Healthcare water purification systems
With over 40 years’ experience, we’re the leading supplier of advanced water purification systems, designed specifically to meet the demands of the healthcare sector.
We offer solutions for renal dialysis, including both compact systems for the home and high volume systems for multi-bed wards, plus advanced water purification systems for clinical analyser feed, decontamination and sterile services departments.
In addition, we can supply wall mounted and benchtop reverse osmosis water purification units, low cost deionisation cartridges, and centralised, modular high volume water purification systems for feeding laboratory ring-mains.
In each case, our proven technology can be used for the production of purified and ultrapure water, to 18.2 MΩ.cm, and meets the requirements of BS EN ISO 3696 and ASTM D1193-06 standards.
We offer a custom design and manufacture service, with all healthcare water purification systems complying with the Medical Device Directive (MDD) 93/42/EEC, and being fully assessed and CE marked as Class IIB Medical Devices.
Maintenance and servicing
Infection control is always high on the agenda in the healthcare industry. To maximise patient health, we offer detailed guidance on the service and maintenance requirements of water purification systems to maintain water quality.
Typical routine maintenance includes checking the Reverse Osmosis (RO), regularly changing the pre-treatment consumables, and replacing filter elements. RO membranes generally require chemical cleaning every three to six months, depending on usage. And to maintain microbiological integrity, the system must be chemically sanitised every 6 to 12 months.
We now offer a ‘24/7’ service contract so that water quality and continuity of supply are assured. That means system specification is maintained, frequency of breakdowns is limited or avoided completely and, ultimately, system life is extended.
